A trade show exhibit is one of the best opportunities to promote a company and enhance brand visibility in today’s competitive market. It has been one of the proven methods to effectively demonstrate a company’s brand new products or services and to bring in a great amount of return of investment. However, success in such events cannot be guaranteed for everyone who participates in them. That is why careful and elaborate planning is needed to ensure a successful trade show event.
Perhaps the most important part of a trade show exhibit is the attendees. In fact, such events exist in order to improve a company’s brand exposure, to provide an opportunity to get a new pool of clients, and to enhance a company’s relationships with current customers. So driving the traffic into your booth should equally be important to your featured products and services. Here are some tips in boosting the traffic to your trade show booth:
• Connect attendees before the event. Using your existing subscribers list, send out emails to potential and existing customers weeks prior to the event. This way, loyal customers will be able to know that you will be displaying your new products and they will be able to connect with your company. Let everyone know you will be giving away free swag and custom promotional products to show off your brand. Potential customers will also have the chance to see personally or even sample out the new products or services that may interest them. Additionally, you may also ask the organizers for the list of attendees for the trade show so you may inform them as well of the company’s presence in the said event.
• Provide an oasis for relaxation with a touch of modern technology. Trade show exhibits turn to become very chaotic and stressful throughout the day. So people will always try to find a place for a bit of relaxation before looking for another exhibit that interests them. So you may want to turn a space in your event booth that people may want to stay to re-energize their system. Attendees will surely enjoy a conversation or two about your company while seated comfortably within the booth. Adding a charging station with a free Wi-Fi will also add hype to your event display. You may not convert a lot of this people to buy your products but they will surely tell their friends about it by word or mouth or through social media.
• Give away materials that people actually want. A person does not go to trade shows to only learn about a company’s products and services. They are also in it to pick up some free stuff from the exhibitors. That is why it would be best to sample some of the company’s best promotional products to a selected few for them to have a first-hand experience of how great your products are.
• Free shuttle services may not be a bad idea. Offering a free shuttle service for a day can effectively increase traffic to your booth. Seeing the brand on the sides of the bus already gives the company a boost in terms of brand exposure. Additionally, the brand is already being imprinted in their system before the attendees are bombarded with different brands present in the exhibition.
